Здравствуйте!

Рада  сообщить, что рассылка получила статус Серебряной.

 Проверим домашнее задание.
1.    We can't go out yet. It is raining  hard.
 Дождь идет в данный момент.

2.The day is fine.
There are some clouds  in  the  sky,but the sun is  shining.
3. What is  your brother  doing? He is reading a magazine.
 He does it every evening.

 Вот и появилось у нас предложение в Present Simple.
He does it every evening.

 Постарайтесь вспомнить все, что вы знаете про это время.
А пока продолжим работу с Present Continuous.

We use CONTINUOUS when we talk about changing situations:
The population of the world is rising very fast.

Is your English getting better?
The world is changing. Things never stay the same.

Обратите внимание на следующую фразу из учебника:

When you are talking about what you have already arranged to do, use the Present Continuous ( I am reading) .

What are you doing tomorrow evening? – Что ты делаешь завтра вечером?
I am going to the theatre.- Я иду в театр.
Are you playing football tomorrow?
 Ann is coming tomorrow.

 Во всех этих предложениях речь идет о том, что будет  завтра или в ближайшем будущем. Но мы употребляем Present,  если чувствуем, что речь идет о чьих-то личных планах.
В учебниках 20-летней давности вы не найдете этого правила.

 А теперь посмотрим, что там у вас с местоимениями. Возможно, вы уже подружились с ними.
 1. Please, don't make so  much noise, there are too  many little children here.
Noise-шум. Неисчисляемое существительное.

2. Your dictation is better , you have made   fewer  mistakes than usual.
Few –fewer- сравнительная степень

3. Does this book belong to Mary? - Don't you recognize  it?  It's   yours.

4.I can't find  any mistakes in your dictation.
5. There's very  little money left in    my purse.

6. Let  them read the story again.
Let them, let me, let him. Обратите внимание на отсутствие to после  let с местоимением.

7. I'd like to ask you  a few  questions.
 
8. There isn't  much furniture in the flat.

Furniture-мебель. См. выпуск четвертый.

9. Will you give  them  another magazine to look through?
Another- еще один, другой

10. There aren't  any English books on the shelf.
11. Have you got  much work to do today?
 

         12. Will you tell  them about Great Britain?
         13.  Your house is not far from  mine.
            
          My-mine
          14. I can't add  anything to what you have said.
          15. There's too  much noise in the street.
          
         16. Whose cigarettes are these?- They may be
           our cigarettes. Oh, yes, they are  ours.
         
            А теперь проверим артикли.
          a, the.
          1. What a nice garden!
          2. Jack is a fast runner. He is the best runner in his school.
         
          3. There was  a man talking  to  a woman  outside  the  house.
          The man looked tired.
          4. At 6 o'clock we had  dinner and then went out for  a walk.
          5. On the day of my brother's arrival I had no classes.
          Именно в день приезда моего брата
          
          6. I want something to read. Let's buy a newspaper.
          7. She will be down to  breakfast in a quarter of an hour.

          Постарайтесь  запомнить- in a quarter of an hour- через
           четверть часа
          
          8. There is a washbasin with  hot and cold water in
           the bathroom.
          9. She is the most important person I have ever  met.
          10. He went to bed late and got up early.
          11. When Helen came back the children  were still asleep.

          Сделайте самостоятельно.
          1. I /to go/ to London tomorrow.
           2. Why you /to look/ so sad?
          3. What a beautiful dress you / to wear/!
          4.My mother / to come/ to stay  with us next week.

          Артикли   a,the.
           1. ...children,  look  at..  blackboard!  There
           is...sentence  on   it. Copy...sentence and  
           underline ...nouns in it.
          
          2. I can't eat ....apple. It's very sour, I like ...
          sweet    apples.
       3. You  must  take....medicine  twice ...day,
        in … morning,and in ...evening, before going to ...bed.

         Пришло время  вспомнить предлоги.
         1. I must go ( for, to, at) Moscow ( at, in) spring.
         2. Look ( on, at, to) the blackboard. Do you see any
         mistakes  (  in, at, on) it?
         3. Wait ( to, by, for) me, please. I'll come
          (  in,  through,  by)  a minute.
         4. We turned ( on, in, off) the tape-recorder and
         listened (  on,  in, to) music.
