HTC is looking for an experienced Senior Developer/Team Leader in our Minsk-based engineering team HTC BLR.


Required skills: 

  • At least 5 years experience;
  • J2EE, any web server/container (tomcat, jetty, jboss, ect.) design patterns, SQL;
  • Good written/spoken English
  • Be able and eager to learn new technologies and use them for further prefessional development

Will be a plus:

  • unix/linux
  • NoSQL
  • previous experience in high-load projects
  • previous experience in BI/ETL projects

Project description

Your contributions will include a project helping HTC to better understand how end-users use their HTC smartphones to enable our product planning and engineering teams to make data-based decisions about future HTC products and services.



Summary

HTC is looking for an experienced technical program manager in our Minsk-based engineering team HTC BLR. The ideal candidate will have experience shipping large-scale web services with a passion for the specification and design of scalable software.  You always keeps the customer in mind and you love to debug and solve complex issues.


Responsibilities

  • Break down high level deliverables into individual software components and schedules
  • Drive the specification of components for the HTC services platform
  • Run spec reviews and hold development and test teams accountable for delivering to spec
  • Work closely with the engineering team to deliver services platform components on schedule and to specification
  • Co-ordinate work streams across a globally distributed team
  • Work with engineering to package components for deployment to the data center
  • Compile detailed release information for testing and network operations
  • Participate in bug investigation and triage

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in computer science or engineering
  • 3+ years program management experience in commercial web services or large scale software development
  • Practical experience with projects involving 4 or more of REST, JSON, HTML, developing on Android, Web UI Frameworks (e.g. JSP, Pagelets, Rails), .NET, RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), Google Protocol Buffers, ATG Commerce Platform
  • Familiarity with a range of software development lifecycles (e.g. waterfall, SCRUM)
  • Excellent spoken and written English is a necessity
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese an advantage but not necessary
  • Role will require some international travel

∙ Знание современных web технологий, желателен опыт работы с JS библиотеками (Dojo, JQuery, Ext и т.д.)

∙ Приветствуется практический опыт работы с продуктами компании IBM на уровне разработчика

∙ Приветствуется опыт работы с ECM/BPM платформами

∙ Обязательно понимание и следование общей культуре разработки программного обеспечения (системы контроля версий, Continuous Integration, системы баг-трекинга и т.д.)
