История создания

Группа Queen образовалась в 1971 году в Лондоне. Её организовали Брайан  Мей и Роджер Тейлор сначала они  играли в "Johnny Quale And The Reactions", "Beat Unlimited" и "Smile" вместе с Тимом Стаффелом(бас). Когда последний ушел от них, чтобы присоединиться к "Humpty Bong" Мей и Тейлор организовали новый проект с вокалистом Фредди Меркури. Джон Дикон  присоединился в начале 1971 года .

Формирование состава закончилось.

 В 1973 году вышел дебютный альбом (Queen)    В 1973 Queen много гастролировали и записали второй альбом (Queen II) d 1974, с помощью которого они попали в британский хит-парад Топ 5. Затем сингл "Seven Seas Of Rhye" стал хитом и попал в Топ 10.

Альбом "Sheer Heart Attack" достиг 2 позиции в Великобритании.

  В 1975 группа записала сипер-хит "Bohemian Rhapsody",представляющий из себя мини-оперу. Композиция в течении нескольких месяцев находилась на первых местах в Великобритании.

Альбом "A Night At The Opera"(1975), тоже находился в пятерке США и Великобритании в течении долгого   времени. Отныне Queen стали пользоваться бешеной популярностью!

Следующий альбом A Day At The Races вышел в 1976 году. Завоевали огромное признание и вторые позиции в хит-парадах композиции "Somebody To Love" и "We Are The Champions" .

 Композиции "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"(рок энд ролльная  песня 50-х годов) и "Another One Bites The Dust " (песня с элементами диско-музыки) заняли 1 место в США.

  В 1980 году группа записала саундтрек  к фильму "Flash Gordon" который завоевал зрительские симпатии ,а критикам он не понравился.

В 1981 снова начался расцвет их творчества, они записали "Under pressure"( вместе Дэвидом Боуи) тут же  попавшая на первые места хит-парадов в Британии.

  Альбом 1984(Works) содержащий "Radio Gaga" и "I Want To Break Free" поднялся на вторую строчку в Британии.

Последний полноценный альбом ("Innuendo") Queen вышел в 1991,он долгое время пробыл на вершине чартов.

Карьера группы закончилась со смертью от СПИДа вокалиста Фредди Меркури 24 ноября 1991 года. 20 мая 1992 года на лондонском стадионе "Уэмбли" состоялся концерт памяти Меркури. Из оставшихся членов "Queen" наиболее успешную сольную карьеру сделал Брайен Мей. Роджер Тейлор работал с "Cross". В1995 году появился их новый альбом "Made in Heaven", на котором были использованы последние записи Фредди, сделанные им перед смертью.

Но группа по-прежднему остается популярной во всем мире
