Как говорится на сайте конкурса, торжественная церемония пройдет в ратуше в Вене. В 18.00 по местному времени (19.00 мск) сорок делегаций стран-участниц пройдут по красной ковровой дорожке под полюбившиеся песни "Евровидения" в исполнении оркестра. Откроет шествие победитель музыкального конкурса "Евровидение 2014" австриец Томас Нойвирт, выступающий в сценическом образе бородатой женщины Кончиты Вурст. Поприветствуют участников мэр Вены Михаэль Хойпль, генеральный директор ORF Александр Врабец и супервайзер конкурса "Евровидение" Йон Ула Санд. Перед Бургтеатром будут установлены мониторы для трансляции церемонии открытия.
