France: Tunisia and Costa Rica try to recreate World Cup feeling

The Costa Rican and Tunisian national football teams trained in Nice's Allianz Riviera stadium, on Monday, ahead of their upcoming friendly match in the run-up to the FIFA World Cup 2018.
Prior to their training sessions, the head coaches held consecutive press conferences along with some of their players.
Tunisian Head Coach Nabil Maaloul spoke about the team's recent victory against the Iranian national team, but acknowledged that this was not making him complacent for Tuesday's face-off against Costa Rica.
«It's going to be a difficult match. Somewhat different from our last match — against Iran. It's a more technical side, Costa Rica, with seasoned players,» Maaloul said.
Both Tunisia and Costa Rica are coming to this match victorious after their most recent encounter. On Friday March 23, Costa Rica beat Scotland 1-0, after Marco Urena scored a goal in the fourteenth minute. Meanwhile, a Milad Mohammadi own-goal secured Tunisia a win against Iran on the same night.
Costa Rica qualified for their fifth World Cup, they will play against Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland in Group E while Tunisia qualified for the first time in 12 years and will play in Group G against Belgium, England and Panama.
Switzerland: Egyptian king Salah and co. warm up for Greece test

Egyptian talisman Mohamed Salah joined his teammates in an open training session on Monday before they face Greece in a pre-World Cup friendly in Zurich on Tuesday evening.
Egypt, who will face hosts Russia alongside Saudi Arabia and Uruguay in Group A, qualified for the Word Cup by the skin of their teeth after Salah scored a penalty in the 95th minute against Congo.
Egyptians will be hoping he can continue his club form for the national side, having scored 38 goals in 44 appearances for Liverpool.
The Greek team also trained ahead of the clash, but their failure to qualify for the World Cup means the match is a dead rubber.
Belgium: De Bruyne and Hazard stretch legs for Saudi Arabia clash

The Belgian national football team held an open training at their football centre in Tubize on Monday, one day ahead of their friendly game against Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to the press, Belgian captain Eden Hazard said that their goal is «to go to the final» and that «four years ago was the first World Cup for almost all the players in the national team,» but now they have the experience to really pose a threat.
In reference to Belgium’s first game for the World Cup with Panama, he said that for him «the first game is always important» and that one day before the match they will know everything they have to about Panama.
The team’s coach Roberto Martinez said that the World Cup does not respect talent but «winning teams» and working hard.
Belgium is playing a friendly game against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, before heading to Russia where they will face the England, Panama and Tunisia in Group G.
With stars such as Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Hazard in their team, as well as World Cup winner Thierry Henry in the coaching staff, Belgium will be favourites along with England to progress.

Poland: South Korea and Poland prepare ahead of friendly in Chorzow

The national teams of Poland and South Korea held their pre-match practise at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzow on Monday, ahead of their clash on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference, South Korean manager Shin Tae-Yong said Poland's style of play is akin to Germany's, who are a group opponent of the Asian team. Similarly, South Korea will seek to emulate Japan, who are a group opponent of the Poles.
At the 2018 World Cup, Poland are pitted against Colombia, Japan and Senegal in Group H, whereas South Korea are in Group F with Germany, Mexico and Sweden.

Борьба за Трофейный кубок началась на ледовой арене в Верхней Пышме. В городе стартовал детский турнир, посвященный памяти Александра Козицына. И хотя самым старшим хоккеистам едва исполнилось 11 лет, их упорству завидуют даже взрослые спортсмены.
Вот такой он, детский хоккей: от безутешного горя до счастья здесь — считанные минуты. И даже если впереди еще один период, любой отрыв в счете — это буря эмоций, способных, кажется, растопить лед.
Григорий Врублевский, участник детского хоккейного турнира памяти Александра Козицына (Медногорск): «Я рад, что мы выигрываем, но такое бывает нечасто. Надо уметь принимать и выигрыш, и проигрыш. Мне дали передачу — я забил. Нельзя оценить, как ты играешь: все играют одинаково и все стараются одинаково».
На арене — медногорские «металлурги» против команды «Олимпик» из Сухого Лога. Хотя самым старшим хоккеистам едва исполнилось 11, новичков на льду нет. Играют, не чувствуя усталости, а в перерывах успевают давать интервью.
Иван Копылов, участник детского хоккейного турнира памяти Александра Козицына (Сухой Лог): «Много пришлось побегать, потому что пасы отдавали всем, кто открыт. Получилось неудачно, мы уходили далеко слишком, не смотрели своего соперника».
Трибуны не утихают ни на минуту. Здесь болеют самые преданные фанаты — родители. Даже папам трудно скрыть досаду, если поражение всухую, и бурный восторг, когда команда забивает гол.
Александр Ракшин, болельщик: «Сын играет в хоккей с пяти лет, ездим везде, болеем по мере возможности. Нравится выбор его. Приятно, когда ребенок занят, особенно спортом».
Этот детский турнир по хоккею проходит в Верхней Пышме в третий раз. Участие в нем принимают двести одаренных спортсменов из Свердловской и Оренбургской областей, Башкортостана и впервые — из Северной Осетии.
Юлия Нутенко, директор благотворительного фонда «Дети России»: «Этот спорт приобретет еще большую популярность, и массово детей будут отдавать в этот вид спорта. Спорт в жизни каждого ребенка играет большую роль, и участники нашего турнира — прямое тому подтверждение».
Турнир посвящен памяти Александра Козицына. В юности он тоже выходил с клюшкой на лед, а когда стал директором главного предприятия УГМК — «Уралэлектромеди», — построил ледовую арену в Верхней Пышме. Сегодня его дело продолжается.
Владимир Белоглазов, директор по общим вопросам УГМК: «Мы будем развивать хоккей во всех городах, где трудимся. Мы строим ледовые арены в Реже, в Екатеринбурге совсем недавно открылись, дальше будет Красноуральск, Пышма, Сухой Лог. Будем строить арены — будет развиваться хоккей».
Впервые в этом году участники турнира будут бороться за Трофейный кубок. Его вес почти девять килограммов, изготовлен из меди, серебра, латуни, красного дерева по индивидуальному эскизу. На его пьедестал будут наносить названия команд-победительниц. Кто возглавит список, станет известно уже 30 марта.

France: Khazri ‘happy’ after beating Costa Rica in World Cup friendly

Members of the Tunisian and Costa Rican teams spoke to the press following their friendly match in Nice on Tuesday.
The friendly match saw Tunisia beat Costa Rica 1-1, when Tunisian Captain Wahbi Khazri scored in the first half.
Khazri expressed happiness in how his whole team had performed, saying, “It’s a great thing to score, but yes it’s a team that does the job.”
Tunisian Defender Oussama Haddadi said that, following this match, his team is looking ahead towards the FIFA World Cup in Russia, this summer. “We can build for the future and we can do good football and be ready for the first game in the World Cup and, most importantly, to be ready for the first game and the second game in the World Cup,” he said.
Discussing their loss, Costa Rican captain Bryan Ruiz commiserated, “In the second [half], we equalised the game and we could have scored 1-1 at times but we didn’t do it.
Belgium: Saudi upbeat after losing 4-0 in World Cup friendly

Saudi Arabia was beat 4-0 by Belgium on Tuesday in a pre-World Cup friendly in King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.
Speaking in press conference, Belgium coach Roberto Martinez expressed his satisfaction over the result: «In average all the camp has been a real success, because we have been able to work individually, players got what they need in this important part of the season. From that point a performance with four goals, with a lot of chances and a good focus to get a clean sheet. That is a good satisfying camp now to look forward to the next seven weeks to get the information we need to make the final selection».
