Dave, the several days that I heard 12579 on the weekend before Memorial day weekend, the sign-off was within a few seconds each day around 14:53 in mid-sentence, and no ID. 4319 was on immediately, but too weak to hear any IDs if they exist.........

back on the air after many months. I haven't had the time to sit down and
listen, so haven't been able to ID it yet, but from the few minutes that I
have heard it, its seems like R. Simbu. First heard yesterday, the
6th. However, Northern 3345 has been off the last 2 days, so I guess its

Kurdish on a clear channel 4675. Audio was slightly
distorted. Their ID starts "Dengi Azadi Kurdistan, dengi....".
After couple of minutes Iranian jammer came to the frequency.
Sign-off at 1830. Haven't heard them here during evenings for
some time, but it seems the station is still active.

I'm not very active anymore, being active on exams and especially on another hobby of mine: French radio, more precisely researching Aventure FM tapes. But, I tuned to the radio on Saturday night, pas midnight and was extremely surprised to hear these two Cubans, for this 1st time ever in June, since I begun DXing.

Condx were really weird this spring. Rebelde-600 (the Urbano Norris-based transmitter) SUPER-LOUD in May, some threshold South Americans, a NEW cuban in the form of the Trinidad area Progreso tx on 750 w/ WSB. I just received a mail from the Argie Conexi?n Digital list. A person say that the dissapearance of the ozone layer may perphaps having an impact on the ionospheric propagation. This could be why Sporadic-E skip was almost nil on the FM band this spring and why I get these low-band Cubans in June. The
Sporadic-E ionizations are fewer and far beetwe, but so is the D layer which is say to never completly vanish at night. Therefore, if I just had my head more toward DXing and less toward Aventure FM airchecks, I could have, with a lot of patience, bagged Radio El Mundo 1070 from Buenos Aires, my best personal beat for an Argie MW DX catche. But, as we saw in the past, the DX bug will always get back sooner or later.

I'm still trying on and off to hear something interesting.

I would need over the next months to join the NRC and to buy their Domestic log. Altough, there are fairly few talk-shows really appealing to me, getting IDs from some of the harder domestic catches might be interesting to a limited extent in the future.

Last, but certainly not least, I meet a Venezuelan teacher visiting our school today. I really liked our conversation. He was really impressed by my Spanish - he told me it was perfect ! Of course, he was impressed by my extensive knowledge of music, radio and politics as well. Very friendly guy ! I really hope to visit Venezuela one day, altough France is now on my prime list. DXing from Isla Margarita or Puerto-La Cruz in a few quite awesome TAs such as "Radio Rurale de Lab?" 1385.9v kHz out of Guinea and

Started listening at 15:32 UTC, when OIRT was open to UKR/RUS/BLR. The opening lasted until 18:10, but never reached CCIR band. There was a complete "stop" from 17:54 to 17:56.

Accidentially, I came across a signal on 64.75 MHz. From 16:40-16:42 and then again at 16:47, I heard what I think was TV audio, British English (soap or TV series, adult couples, having conflicts, and talking about s** - not really primetime content). Signal faded like proper Es. 64.75 does not remind me of any proper TV audio. Any ideas?

On 67.25, I had a clear ID of Radio Shanson - but it is not listed on this frequency.

On 68.72, there was religious programming, finishing with "Amin" at around 17:46 - unfortunately, I cannot distinguish Russian, Ucrainian and Bielorussian. Must do recording next time.

Another day with some Es propagation, specially from Italy.
Again the shopping channel on 47.75/53.25 MHz was heard and seen. Until now
I called this station TELE A or TELE A+ , but according to reports in some
DX magazines TV Luna from Monte Faito near Napoli/Naples is on this
frequency. Maybe the name has changed from TELE A to TV Luna ? Today I saw
this station with a logo like a crescent in the lower right corner of the
screen. So I think it is TV Luna.
By the way: German ARD tx Biedenkopf on ch E2 and Kreuzberg on E3 closed
down on 29 May 2006 !

Сегодня случайно обнаружил на частоте вещания "Русского Радио-Липецк"
RDS. всё время передаётся всё время одна и таже информация: "РУССКОЕ".
Таким образом теперь в Липецке 2 радиостанции работают с RDS: как я
писал ранее это АвтоРадио-Липецк на 67,31 и 102,1 МГц и теперь Русское

Powerfull Es opening today, Monday 5 June 2006. Starting at 08.30 UTC into Kareliya on the OIRT band, followed by a climbing MUF with Finland on Band II (boy, it has been years since this happened) and then a sudden swing to Greece, quickly followed by an Italian invasion. It was a shame that I had to leave the shack at 12.15 UTC when all was in full swing.
This opening might have had a MUF up to Band III.
Any help with the UNID's would be appreciated..

11:45 пара арабских станций в нижней части FM.
12:15 много Турции.
13:30-16:00 очень много Итальянских станций вплоть до 108 МГц.,
некоторые очень мощно, перебивая слабые местные.
Нижняя часть FM забита шумом (слишком широкая полоса пропускания, плохой
fm-приемник).
