TOP8 news of 2002
We are used to speaking about events that have taken place lately, for instance,
a month ago or later…During the first month of the year 2003 we will hold a discussion
on the most recent events of the most recent year of 2002.
So, we have got a TOP 8 list of the most ridiculous, pushy, stunning events of
the year which has gone into the inevitable past!
First place – Terrorist attack of the Theater Center, Moscow, Dubrovka during
the “Nord -Ost” show. Hijackers had captured approximately 800 hundred of innocent
citizens of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Italy, France, United States
of America etc.   As a result of the unique operation 750 people were freed,
129 – killed and 41 terrorists were slaughtered by the Russian agents of the
operation.
Second place - goes to the Winter Olympic Games, Salt-lake-city. These games
are most likely remembered for the non-stop hysterical scandals: bribery of the
International Olympic Committee members, great pressure on the referees, chase
on the Russian sportsmen and sportswomen. It all went so far that some of the
Russian political leaders started calling for the military operations against
the United States.
Third place –descent of the gigantic glacier in the Karmadonsk gorge as well
as bereavement of the popular actor, journalist, and film director, Sergey Bodrov
and his movie group.
Fifth – Soccer World Cup, which is memorized for the appalling demolishment right
in the center of the Russian Capital, Manezh Square, organized by several hundreds
of the Russian soccer fans after the fact that Russian team lost in the match
with the Japan all - star team.
Sixth - Russian lady, Oxana Fedorova, previously awarded the Name of “Krasa Rossii”,
after winning an International contest “Miss Universe” refused to run her title
during the year of 2002.
Seventh - people committed to memory an unbelievable fact that Russia was in
about to start a war with Georgia because of the Pankiyski Ravine usage by the
Chechen extremists.
Eighth– Caucasian hurricanes and floods with more than 1000 Caucasian citizens
no longer having homes.

2002 was meant to be a tough, harsh and hasty year. Be sure that 2003 brings
you radical changes in your life! In case you win a “Miss Universe” title, just
