Interview is appointed for 22 August in Vilnius! (the date might be postponed due to not everyone gets Lithuanian visa)

Requisition:

- Asst.Cooks/Cooks

- Diningroom asst. Waiters/sses

- Cabinstewardesses , mostly female

- Asst. Cabin Stewards / Cleaners / Utilities

- Bartenders/Barservers

- Catering trainees 

Especially Cabin Stewardesses / Asst Cabin Stewards / Cleaners / Utilities are required

 Apollo Ship Chandler is the Catering company for three cruise lines, Oceania Cruises, a 5-star high end cruises line, Island cruises, a British cruise line, which sails during the summer in the Med and during the winter in Brazil and our own cruise line Discovery Cruises, which runs 1 day cruises from Miami to the Bahamas.

Find attached Job Description for Oceania Cruises of the following;

-          Cabinsteward

-          Waiter/resses

-          Asst.Waiter/resses

-          Barserver

-          Bartender

For the Cabinsteward position females are preferable, as this is the company policy.

For the rest it is equal.

Attached a Before You Set Sail-Need to know Guide for all positions as well as Departmental such as Housekeeping, Dining room and Bar Department, also Wage scale for Oceania cruises, and approx earnings as well. Also the Air Ticket Policy for Oceania Cruises.

REQUIREMENTS:

For the interview:

  • Application (attached)
  • 1 passport size photo
  • CV/Resume
  • Recommendations/References
  • Travel Passport Copy (must be valid for at least 1 year ahead)
  • Police clearance

* If available also attach copies of: C1/D visa, STCW95 Basic Safety and Crowd Management Certificates, Seaman’s Book.

** One very important thing is the background check. All candidates must have this done by you, especially if they have worked on ships before. Should you not have contacts, I will be very happy to assist you. The police clearance must be done prior to the interview of the candidate, but if impossible – may be done before boarding.

Before boarding the ship:

  • Seaman’s Book,  STCW95 and Crowd Management is a must, for either the candidates Own Nationality or the Marshall Island for Oceania and Bahamian for Island Cruises This must be obtained before joining, but can be obtained after the successful job interview. Seaman’s books can be applied for by the company. The costs is approx US$50.00/book.
  • A valid C1/D US visa for all crew
  • Medical Exam - - The Oceania Medical attached ,as you can see it is quit extensive and before the candidates go for the medical, the Risk Management in Miami must approve the Medical Center chosen by you and a separate form must first be filled out by the Center chosen and sent back to Miami. This will be done on a later date
