Английский Хронограф Выпуск 82 29 декабря 2007г. описание форум архив e-mail   December 29 Biography of the Day Pablo Casals Born this day in Spain in 1876 was the virtuoso cellist and conductor Pablo Casals, a romantic who eschewed literal interpretations of modernism and was renowned for his innovative technique and consummate musicianship. Madame de Pompadour 29.12.1721: †15.4.1764. The French courtesan was actually called Jeanne Antoinette Poissen. The mistress of King Louis XV of France, she yielded a certain degree of power over the French court. She intervened in political decisions, such as during the alliance negotiations at the start of the Seven Year War. In 1758 she brought about the appointment of Etienne F. de Choiseuls as a leading minister. She promoted art, literature (Voltaire und Diderot) and the academic world.
