second volume appeared.
A new name for the Royal Family. Due to
the anti-German sentiments in Britain during World War I, King
George V. decided to change the family name from
Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor. He
also rejected all German titles. He visited the troops on the
Western Front and promoted fair treatment of prisoners of war. Queen

II. decided to retain the name of Windsor.
