GOOD WEEK FOR:

  • Two Austrians, who ran up the stairs of the 86-floor Empire State Building to victory in the 27th annual women's and men's races. It took 24-year-old Andrea Mayr 12 minutes and eight seconds to reach the top of the building. On the men's side, Rudolf Reitberger won the race in 10 minutes and 37 seconds. A 92-year-old Italian, Chico Scimone, reached the top in 43 minutes and 25 seconds.
  • Janet Jackson's right breast, which has become the most-searched image in Internet history. The incident happened at half-time during the American Football Super Bowl final when Janet Jackson was performing with Justin Timberlake.
  • A 15-year-old boy in Hong Kong, who miraculously survived after leaping 20 storeys to escape taunts by his older brother for losing in a computer game.
  • Singapore Airlines, which has launched the world's longest non-stop commercial flight. The flight from Singapore to Los Angeles will take 16 hours while the return journey takes 18.5 hours.
  • A German Elvis Presley impersonator, who has set a world record after singing the King's hits for more than 42 hours. The 36-year-old baker, dressed like his idol, sang 60 Elvis songs 13 times each, a feat which earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
  • A US company, which is offering to deposit business cards or even the ashes of loved ones on the moon. The private California-based firm, TransOrbital, plans to charge US$ 2,500 dollars for its lunar delivery service that it hopes to start towards the end of 2004 when it launches commercial flights to the moon. "Delivered to the moon surface in a special capsule will be your certificates, business cards, cremated remains, jewellery, artwork and many other items of choice," the company said on its website.
  • Fans of the Beatles, after the news that a hair of singer John Lennon is set to fetch at least US$ 1,250 dollars at a Spanish auction on March 7. The hair, which comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
  • Chinese scientists, who have developed a new type of contraceptive pill to keep the rat population under control -- a task that has become more urgent as the rodents are suspected of being linked to SARS. The pills have different tastes and fragrances favoured by rodents, including apple, fish and sesame.

BAD WEEK FOR:

  • Pedestrians in Venice, Italy, with the news that some narrow streets have been designated "one-way alleys". People walking the wrong way down these streets will be fined up to 500 euros.
  • A group of Cubans, who tried to sail to the United States in a 1959 Buick car which had been converted into a boat. US Coast Guards intercepted the car-boat on Tuesday during its journey over the 140-km stretch between Cuba and Florida.
  • A 75-year-old man in Nepal, who married a dog in a local custom to ensure good luck. Unfortunately the main died three days later.

Part Four:

Ivan : Just a couple of days.

Paul: Is this the first time you’ve been to Spain?

Ivan: No, I came last year.

And the riddle?
