China: New joint Russia-China passenger jet unveiled at Zhuhai airshow

A mockup of the forward cabin section of a new passenger jet being jointly developed by Russia and China, was on display at China's largest airshow in Zhuhai, in China's southern Guangdong Province, on Wednesday.
The CR929 is a wide-body passenger airliner that is currently projected to be flight-worthy in 2025 at the earliest. The project is a joint venture between the Chinese state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and the Russian state-owned United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
Also on part of the exhibition was a new laser weapon system developed by China. The LW-30 is a short-range precision truck-based system that is designed to track and destroy light aircraft and drones.
An updated air ambulance version of the light Ansat helicopter was also on display, as well as the newest iteration of the venerable Mi-17 helicopter, the Mi-17A2, which boasts higher speeds and reduced crew requirements.

USA: Foldable phone revealed by Samsung at San Francisco conference

Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy F foldable phone at its annual developer conference in San Francisco, on Wednesday.
The device was shown off on stage by one of the South Korean tech giant's Senior Vice Presidents, who demonstrated its ability to transition from a large tablet style device to a slimmer standard phone size by folding in half.
Samsung also announced that the user interface of the phone is being developed in partnership with Google. Both the release date and the price have yet to be released and the product remains under development.
