Historical Engineering invites tenderers to build part of a version of its game WWII to run in the browser or, if the tenderee prefers, on a mobile telephone.
Historical Engineering may award this contract to a number of competing entities.
Whichever option the tenderee pursues in terms of a game in the browser or for a mobile phone Historical Engineering may pay £4,000, at the start of month 4, to the four or less tenderees which, by that time, have produced work judged to be most “on course.” The three tenderees most “on course” at the start of month 7 will be eligible to receive a ayment of £6,000. The two tenderees most “on course” at the start of month 10 will be eligible to receive a payment of £10,000. The tenderee most “on course” at the start of month 13 will be eligible to receive a payment of £15,000. Delivery of the finished product, subject to it being received by the beginning of month 16 and declared to be satisfactory, will result in receipt of a payment of £35,000. The most successful tenderee may therefore receive a payment of £70,000. In addition Historical Engineering will give the tenderee a 1% royalty, on any sales made on the version of WWII which the tenderee has contributed to building, for a period of 2 years from the first day of month 15.
