Personal exhibition of the artist Nikas Safronov «Favorites»

From August 31, 2012 to October 7, at the Odessa Art Museum will be held a personal exhibition of the artist Nikas Safronov called «Favorites.» Still lives, portraits, landscapes and narrative compositions of surrealistic character, in all more than 80 works will be presented to the public attention.

Nikas Safronov is one of the most prominent contemporary Russian artists working equally well in many genres. His art works are familiar to most viewers by journal reproductions, because most of the paintings are kept in private collections in Russia and abroad, and also in museums of Western Europe and America. Solo exhibitions of Nikas Safronov are held throughout Russia. A lot of exhibitions are held abroad.

One of the objectives of the exhibition is meeting of the Odessa viewer with the artist, for whom the essence of his perception of life is reflected in the architectural landscapes, portraits and still lifes. This exhibition is a gift of the artist for the residents of Odessa to the day of the city.

Today, most of the works are kept in private collections and museums of Russia and Europe. Western collectors bought more than 800 of his paintings. Among the owners of his paintings are stars such as Sophia Loren and Alain Delon, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Pierre Cardin, Diana Ross, Montserrat Caballe, Madonna, Mikhail Gorbachev, Nikita Mikhalkov.

He painted portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma, the ex — U.S. President Bush Sr. and Bush Jr., King of Spain Juan Carlos I, King of Jordan, King of Brunei and more than 15 presidents , Muslim Magomaev, Alla Pugacheva, Mstislav Rostropovich, Sophia Loren, Julio Iglesias, Diana Ross, Montserrat Caballe, Pavarotti, Jack Nicholson, Sting, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Steven Seagal, Richard Gere, Pierre Richard, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Annie Girardot, Mike Tyson, Clint Eastwood, David Bowie, Robert De Niro, Chris de Burgh, Elizabeth Taylor, Steven Spielberg, Tina Turner, Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio and many other foreign and domestic stars.

The artist and his creative team plan to hold solo exhibitions in all cities of Ukraine.
