НАСЛАЖДЕНИЕ КРАСОТОЙ!!!Ever since I was little, I have been trying to somehow recreate the things I found beautiful. When I started taking photographs I was inspired by the fact that the beauty I was capturing started with something real. When I take a picture, each component brings with it, its own life. The model, location and clothing all bring their own energy to create the image. In my work I want to show the world as I see it, a balance between light and dark. While at face value, my work is fashion photography, I like to use the guise of "perfection" to explore aggressiveness, sensuality, sexuality and intimacy. To me there is freedom in exploring these emotions through an artificial world, one that can be both surreal and fantastic. Photography reaches people visually, but I try to make my work arouse all senses.
Remi Rebillard was born and raised in Paris, France. His first introduction to photography came while assisting the famous French motion picture director, Jean Becker. In 1991 Remi started working with various European fashion magazines. Deriving his inspiration from living in the most beautiful city in the world, he put it to use while shooting some of the most beautiful women of the world. In 1992 Remi moved to New York with his wife, Cara Leigh. With the help of people like Faith Kates from Next, he began shooting the new generation of stars. When entering in Remi’s world, you will touch his unique style in photography. He uses his camera like a painting palette. His colours mix affects you deeply & gives you multiple & sometimes controversial feelings fighting inside your mind & heart!Many times you are going to feel that you are watching a fantasy movie directed by extraordinary director. He created a photo & a story at the same time. Using a combination of mag-lights, gels and daylight from his Greenwich Village artist’s loft, Remi developed his unique light and became recognized as a beauty photographer.
