Гай Себастиан впервые представит Австралию на Евровидении 2015-03-07 18:34 eurovision Известный австралийский певец Гай Себастиан (Guy Sebastian) отправится на конкурс песни "Евровидение 2015", где впервые будет представлена Австралия. Несмотря на то, что конкурс традиционно проводится среди европейских стран, Австралия на юбилейном 60-ом "Евровидении" получила право участвовать в конкурсной программе, говорится в сообщении телерадиовещательной корпорации Би-би-си. 33-летний певец и композитор Гай Теодор Себастиан известен как победитель первого выпуска австралийской версии конкурса "Стань звездой". За свою сольную музыкальную карьеру с 2003 года он записал семь студийных альбомов. Исполнитель не будет участвовать в предварительных этапах конкурса, а выступит сразу в финале. Австралийский певец и композитор Гай Себастиан будет представлять свою страну на конкурсе "Евровидение", финал которого состоится в Вене в конце мая нынешнего года. Такое решение приняла телекомпания Эс-би-эс, которая ведет трансляцию конкурса в Австралии. Какую песню Себастиан повезет в Вену, пока неизвестно. Об этом он должен сообщить до 16 марта. При этом австралиец не будет участвовать в предварительных этапах конкурса, а выступит сразу в финале. 33-летний уроженец Аделаиды Гай Себастиан очень популярен в стране - восемь его альбомов и 12 синглов попадали в австралийскую "горячую десятку", причем два альбома и шесть синглов занимали в нем первую строку. Себастиана также хорошо знают и любят поклонники поп-музыки в Новой Зеландии, один его альбом и шесть синглов пробивались в первую десятку хит-парадов этой страны. Австралийцы никогда раньше в "Евровидении" не участвовали, и приглашение Европейского вещательного союза на юбилейный 60-й конкурс стало для них абсолютной неожиданностью. В социальных сетях развернулась нешуточная дискуссия любителей музыки, почему Австралию вообще позвали на мероприятие региона, от которого ее отделяет огромное расстояние.
