Physicians and experts Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights and Welfare Protection [Rospotrebnadzor-NP] are
concerned in connection to a situation with Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF). 13 cases of CCHF have been registered
in the region since the beginning of this year[Volgograd region - NP]
The Kotelnikovsky district [in Volgograd region] remains the most unsuccessful territory. Here CCHF was diagnosed in 12 patients.
It is in 2 times more, than for all last year. 3 patients are already discharged from hospital, 9 - take treatments in
the hospital. 1 case of disease has been registered in Oktyabrskiy. district. Difficult situation has developed also in the
next regions. 41 case of CCHF have been fixed in the republic of Kalmykia, 2 patients died. CCHF also is registered in
the Stavropol and Rostov regions.
As they speak in the Rospotrebnadzor the matter is that administration promote measures for prevention of distribution
of ticks with the big delay. The heads of regional administrations, veterinaries, heads of facilities and individual businessmen
pay insufficient attention to this problem. Experts have counted up, that on prevention and preventive maintenance against
CCHF in the territory of region it is necessary to spend 7 million roubles. The project of the governor's decision about
allocation of necessary funds is already prepared..

[All above-named regions (Volgograd, Stavropol, Rostov. Republic Kalmykia are part of Southern Federal district. According
to agency of Ami-TASS <http://www.ami-tass.ru/article/9975.html> for June, 8 only 4 cases of CCHF have been registered
in the Volgograd region. For 20 days the number of fallen ill persons has increased on 9 person, i.e. in 2,25 times. The
similar situation is observed and in the republic of Kalmykia: the number cases of CCHF for the same period has increased
from 21 up to 41 persons. Thus, situation with CCHF in Southern Federal district continues remains serious - NP]
